The Red Dress in Winter is Retro and Fashionable!

Posted by Natalie

Just because it is wintertime, your wardrobe doesn’t’ have to consist of only dull pieces, that go over each other to keep you warm. You can always opt-out for less big, but stylish-looking clothes in winter, that won’t only look fantastic, but also warm you up. Let’s take a bold example, like a classic red dress. You don’t even imagine how many wonderful winters looks you can create around it! So, if it is a deal, let’s dedicate today’s post to this piece, here are some of our favorite ways to wear a red dress this winter.

The very first example of a stylish, winter-appropriate ensemble is this combo of short Christmas red flare dress, and nude cardigan thrown on the top of it. As a warm, accomplishing accord use a pair of thick tights, and, of course, ankle-length boots. These booties never go out of style!

The next inspiration comes in the shape of a red plaid dress, with a cozy mock neckline, and a cute thin belt on the waistline. This time you can substitute a nude cardigan, with something even less colorful — a light gray cardigan. A pair of cute winter boots and nice accessories will help you to finish up the look.

We can’t take our eyes off the next outfit, it is just too adorable. This petite red dress, with a subtle print all over the material, looks its best with a pair of knee-high boots, and an oversized sweater or cardigan, layered on top of the dress. The bigger and fluffier is the hat, the better for this outfit.

Dark and moody burgundy red deserves just as much attention as classic red color. It fits almost everyone and can be combined with a whole bunch of wintery colors. Like this dark gray trench coat. Doesn’t it look great with a pair of glossy boots and a light handbag?

Don’t underestimate the power of sweater dresses. They can be worn, basically, all year long, with various types of accessories and shoes. For example, with ethnic accessories, a tasseled bag, and cowboy boots. Don’t forget to wear a pair of warm pantyhoses, to keep your legs warm, and dry.

Lastly, we had to include at least one sophisticated, evening look. It features a lightweight lace red dress. It is floor-length and worn with a short fur jacket and a pair of very classy red pumps. The bag is dark brown, but you can use color, similar to the jacket.
