A healthy body is essential for good health. Good health is achieved by following a healthy lifestyle and diet. One must follow healthy and good eating habits to maintain a healthy and fit body. Here is some information gathered regarding good habits about eating that must be followed by every individual to stay fit and healthy.

1. Drink Plenty of Water

Water is essential for the human body. It helps in draining all the toxins from your body which is good for human health. Set a goal to drink at least 2 liters of water in a day for a glowing and of course a healthy skin. Drinking plenty of water is not enough you should also know about when is the right time to drink water.

2. Eat slowly and peacefully

Do not eat in a hurry. Chew well. Always take out time to consume your food. Pay attention to the food you are eating and how much time you take to eat it. Eat Slowly. Give at least 30 minutes to your every meal. It helps in the proper digestion of food.

3. Consume Fruits and Green Vegetables

Make it a habit of eating fruits and vegetables daily.  Fruits and Vegetables contain proteins, High Fiber, Carbohydrates, Antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins which are good for the human body. Take a bowl of vegetable/fruit salad and start eating to stay fit and healthy.

4. Eating Portions

Try to eat your food in standard portion size. It helps you to measure the calories you have consumed. Do not consume too much because the dish which is served is your favorite dish or a tasty one. Focus on calories and portions of intake. In the end, what matters is health.

5. Avoid fast food and Soft Drinks.

The best way to remain healthy and fit is to boycott fast food and soft drinks. Instead of fast food, cook a healthy meal at home. Replace your soft drinks to fresh fruit juices. Make a habit of eating home-cooked food. The results will be visible that will encourage you to avoid fast food.
